Natural remedies for an always scented duvet

The first useful trick to achieve our goal is baking soda, which, as we have seen, is a true miracle in neutralizing bad odors. To use it, mix 500 grams of water, 2 tablespoons of baking soda, and 25 drops of lavender oil in a bowl. Pour the mix into a spray bottle and spritz it on your duvet.

For a refreshed and fragrant duvet, sprinkle a mixture of bicarbonate and 10 drops of your favorite essential oil on it. Leave it to act for a couple of hours, then use a vacuum cleaner to clean it up.

Harness the power of vinegar as a natural solution to eliminate odors from your duvet. Its antifungal and antibacterial properties combat bacteria and mites causing the unpleasant smell. Prepare a DIY deodorant by combining 500 ml of distilled water, 100 ml of wine vinegar, and 4 tablespoons of vodka in a spray bottle. Mix in 1 tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda and 10 drops of essential oil, then spray the mixture on the duvet.

Citric acid is also an effective natural disinfectant that will help you keep your duvet always fragrant. Combine one liter of distilled water, 150 grams of citric acid powder, and 15 drops of essential oil in a spray bottle. Spritz the mixture evenly over the entire surface of the duvet.

Finally, to absorb dirt and grease stains, and infuse both your duvet and room with a pleasant scent, turn to talcum powder. Simply sprinkle it generously over the duvet, let it sit for an hour, and then brush it away.
